The challenge
Although the team had a website with pre-existing integrations and were growing at a steady pace, they were heavily reliant on third party sales channels with over 80% of their overall sales coming from Amazon. This poses multiple issues, the biggest being lack of first party data to analyse, experiment with or remarket to.
The solution
Magento Ecommerce
We carried out an initial data and platform audit with a view of removing and consolidating code and modules.
We then set about redesigning the store based on what initial metrics were available along with proven best practices.
We upgraded Magento along with third party modules followed by a redevelopment of the theme which allowed us to organise the code base more efficiently, improving development workflows and most importantly, increasing site speed.
We subcontracted backend development for custom module development and liaised directly with third party vendors to implement features such as in-store POS, Veeqo and Reviews.io
Digital Marketing
We wanted to implement platforms that would allow Hobby Workshop to reach a wider audience, increase website traffic and enhance online sales. After carrying out some thorough analysis, it was clear that the best way to reach their audience was through Google, Facebook & Instagram.
Starting small, we implemented our proven framework to launch successful Facebook/Instagram campaigns, consistently testing new audiences and ad creatives to achieve an increase in performance month on month.
Through meticulous keyword research, testing and optimisation, we were able to create Google search and shopping campaigns that helped achieve their goal of reaching a wider in-market audience.
